AREA
Considering the natural extension of the Monte Sacro district, it is more commonly called talents, by the surname of the family owner of the estate on which the inhabited area arose. Its main square is dedicated to Pier Carlo Talenti, who died prematurely in 1925 for a car accident [5], engineer and older brother of Achille Talenti, well -known engineer and entrepreneur and owner of the S.I.R.A. (Italian Society of Agricultural Restore), A.L.B.A. (anonymous Lazio regulation agricultural reclamation) and Achille Talenti Costruzioni Srl. Achille Talenti was one of the most prolific builders of the twentieth century in Italy by directing the construction of Sabaudia, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the Rome registry in via Luigi Petroselli, the Eur district, and the design, construction and urban development of the Talenti district.
The area is delimited on four sides by as many road axes: via Nomentana, via della Bufalotta, via di Settebagni/via di Casal Boccone and that, never completed, to safeguard the greenery, between via Jacopo Sannazzaro and via della Cecchina.
In the 1950s, when the estate was essentially animated by shepherds with their flocks to the pasture. [6], the historical agricultural and construction company of the Talenti family merged with the construction company owned by Eng. GiuseppeTudini, giving life to the new "Tudini & Talenti company".
In the early sixties, the activity obtained authorization from the Municipality of Rome to be able to build on the land of the talenti: the area was converted into a town characterized mainly by residential buildings and condominiums contained (4-5 medium plans) covered in curtain and equipped with gardens on the ground floors, intended for the medium-high bourgeoisie,as if to counterbalance the "old" Sacro Monte.
The roads are all dedicated to writers of various kinds lived between the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century.
The neighborhood is equipped with green, residual spaces of the Roman agro, including the Talenti Park, the Mimose Park and the Cecchina Park. Other areas of interest are via Ugo Ojetti, the main road of the neighborhood, with its high concentration of commercial activities, the adjacent Largo Pugliese, a nodal point of local public transport.
The neighborhood also hosts the villa in which Peppino De Filippo has experienced the years of his artistic maturity.
